At The Ice Skating Rink

Hey guys! Have you seen the Weekend Gimmicks barkada feature? Our first stop was the SM Megamall Ice Skating Rink. That shoot was a lot of fun with the cutie--and kulit--barkada we had as our models. A lot of laughing, giggling, teasing and gossiping went on behind the scenes so we all had a blast despite the hectic shoot schedule.

Maja helps out Maoui with her hair for the shoot.

We had Dix, Pink's former art director, taking on photographer duties for the shoot. He gave us a tip on how to take photos while standing on the ice: make sure you don't stay on one spot too long or else you'll stick to the ice!

Dix prepares for the shoot on the ice. Here's hoping the lights won't thaw out the ice too much. :)

Of course, we had to had a Pink barkada pic of our own. After all, they're as kulit and as, uh, cute(?) as the barkada models.

The Second Pink Workshop!

Thanks to everyone who came to the Pink Workshop last Saturday! Our friends from The Body Shop were there to give a talk on how to take care of our hair and skin and how to use makeup properly. Thanks Body Shop girls! They even gave some lucky Pink readers some Body Shop stuff. Pink also gave away some CDs and the loudest scream came when we gave away a copy of the Cueshe album. :)

As usual, the Pink Crew had a blast hanging out with all of the girls who spent the afternoon with us. Hope to see everyone at the next Pink Workshop!

Behind Breakfast

Pink's boy next door for the August-September issue is none other than Breakfast co-host JC Cuadrado whom we shot while he was indulging in a breakfast fave, cereal!

Here, photographer Mags directs JC while Editorial Assistant Ana and Writer Patty look on. This shoot actually took place during the dinner hour so the girls were understandably more interested in the bowl of cereal than the model at this point. :)

Unable to control the munchies, Mags, Ana, Art Director Bliss and Patty converged on the cereal while they were waiting for JC to arrive. Yum! We hope JC didn't notice. Not that any of us are going to tell him, right? It'll be our little secret. ;)

Twice The Fun

During our last go-see, a lot of the girls said they'd love to see Pink feature the Roco twins in a future issue. Lucky for them, we had a pictorial with Felix and Dominic just a few weeks before the go-see and they didn't have long to wait.

The guys were a bit shy at first but their natural kakulitan soon had us smiling.

Have you guys recovered from seeing the Pink staff wolfing down food at an alarming rate? Well if you have, then we have some more stuff from the go-see for you.

If you have ever seen Kampanerang Kuba on ABS-CBN, this is the male counterpart Kampanerong Kuba, starring our ever quirky photographer Jay.

Luckily, he straightened out when we fed him some sandwiches. Next time, we'll make sure to feed him so he won't devolve again.

On the other hand, we have Bliss who manned the registration desk half of the time. She was just doodling for the other half.

Thanks to everyone who went to today's Go-see. Everybody had a blast!

We started off with a seminar on Poise and Projection and Posing for Pictorials conducted by our friends at WORKSHOPS@ABSCBN.

Then we took a break where some of the girls bravely hung out with the Pink crew. (We must mention that it takes guts to approach the Pink crew in the middle of a feeding frenzy :)

It was one of those routine work days at the office when the air was suddenly filled with giggles, ooh-ing and aah-ing when the subject matter turned to thoughts of Orlando Bloom. (We have yet to find any red-blooded female on the Pink staff who doesn't go all floaty over thoughts of Legolas.) Here, Angela and Erica are practically euphoric over the fact that Kingdom of Heaven was going to be shown in local theaters. Sigh.

When we last left her, Bliss was shy about having her picture taken since she hadn't had her hair done yet. But now look at the change! Bliss got a nice haircut and highlights courtesy of some generous friends.
By the way, her newly styled locks cost such a big bundle of cash that they've assigned a bodyguard to protect her hair. So here I am as Bliss's new bodyguard shooing the paparazzi away from her, so shoo! :)

This is Angela. On the surface, she looked like your ordinary, harassed editorial assistant until she began to change...

We all noticed that she looked different although we couldn't quite figure out what was happening to her. Each day, she grew quieter and more, er, orange.

One day, we arrived at the office and this was all we found of her: Angela had turned back into a Poring.

PS. The preceding story is partly fictional. Angela has never been quiet for more than two seconds.

Yay! Our Feb-March issue is out already! And I'm so proud that we're one of the first (if not the ONLY) mag that came out with beach stuff (swimsuits, flipflops, etc . . .) this early! Hehe ;P We also have a lot of pink stuff to go with this V-day. So, do check it out girls!
Not only that, this issue is sorta like a teaser to our Cute Boys special (issue date yet to be finalized). We have Hanson, Ethan of Survivor, Billy Crawford and Alvin Alfonso (from POND's) in this issue—6 cuties in pages that you can cut and put on the cover of your books/notebooks, or on the walls of your room :)
This is also the issue where we're making it official, PINK is going back to coming out once every two months. I know, I know . . . we're going to miss writing, shooting fab fashion and beauty pics, sharing great finds and tips to you girls on a monthly basis. But don't worry, we're going thicker—giving you more pages and the latest stuff that will definitely make you the IT girl! Not only that, we came up with this blog site just for you! This is where we'll continue our stories, fashion picks, beauty buys, and everything under the sun!
